Life Hack for an Energy Boost

Do you need a dose of energy? This is a #lifehack that I use when I am running that could apply to many areas of your life. I just shared it with a friend and it worked so I thought I would share it here.

When I am running and tired I tell myself, "Move your arms and your legs will follow." This mantra helped me get through my first marathon and it still really works for me. Physically, it works. Moving your arms creates momentum and your legs have to move with your body. Mentally, positive thinking really matters and accounts for a change in outcome.

This mantra gives me a boost of energy and confidence to help me get through challenging tasks. It helps me when I don't feel like doing something even though I know I will feel better when it's done.

Need to go to the gym? Need to finish your invoices? Need to write that blog post?

Just move your arms and your legs will follow!

1. Identify your challenge.

2. Create a mantra that works for you.

3. Think about the desired outcome.

4. Repeat the mantra to yourself until your action creates the outcome you desire.
