Allyson Kapin: A day in the life of a tech titan

Allyson Kapin: A day in the life of a tech titan

Today I woke up at 9:15 AM.

The first thing I did was say good morning to my husband.

My morning ritual includes checking email, playing with our dog and cats, drinking coffee, eating breakfast.

I started working at… Since today was Sunday I put in a couple of hours of work, ran errands, and worked out, and made a pie for our Pie Swap Party that we are having tomorrow.

I celebrated being at home today after travelling for work most of this week.

What I love most about my work is helping to change the world whether it be building nonprofit websites and campaigns or supporting women-led startups.

My favorite part of the day was walking our dog in a light drizzle of rain.

Least favorite doing a plank.

I am so glad that I get to be home after travelling.

I wish I had more time in the day to get everything accomplished.

Something that surprised me was flowers are starting to bloom.

Did you have a plan for your day? Did it go as planned? Errands, spend time with family, exercise, run errands, do some work. It went as planned.

I want to recognize Justyn Hintze for being an incredible teammate at Rad Campaign and helping launch our 3rd Women Startup Challenge.

For lunch I had a tofurky sandwich.

A personal activity I do just for myself is exercise.

I most enjoyed spending time with my husband and animals.

For dinner I had Dal.

My favorite technology that I used today is my iPhone. I’m addicted to my phone. It’s not good.

I am inspired by all of the Women Startup Challenge entries I’m reviewing. These women are creating game-changing startups that have the potential to solve problems no one else is.

Did you meditate? Did you exercise? Yes, exercise.

One strategy I use to make my time more effective is make to-do lists.

I am passionate about disrupting the status-quo.

I went to sleep at the beach.

Tomorrow I am looking forward to seeing my awesome team’s faces.
