Christen Press: A day in the life of an American soccer forward

Christen Press: A day in the life of an American soccer forward and World Cup champion.

Today I woke up at 9AM.

The first thing I did was meditate.

My morning ritual includes meditation, yoga, and a hearty breakfast.

I started working at … I live at my work!

My biggest challenge was helping those around me stay positive. I vow to be a light in the lives of my friends and coworkers!

I celebrated the glorious sunshine.

What I love most about my work is it is a challenge everyday.

My favorite part of the day was when I get to see the people and dogs that I love!

Least favorite …nah! Negativity is for the birds.

I am so glad that I get to do what I love, be with those that I love, and have the freedom to really LIVE.

I wish I had my two dogs with me everywhere I go.

Something that surprised me was a delicious kombucha on tap at the coffee shop.

Did you have a plan for your day? Did it go as planned? Always and always!

I want to recognize my teammate Meghan Klingenberg for helping me with my good mood today.

Did you commute? I road the bus with my teammates to training.

For lunch I made a protein shake.

A personal activity I do just for myself is yoga, meditation.

I most enjoyed spending time with the soccer ball.

For dinner I ate a black bean, quinoa salad.

My favorite technology that I used today is my phone.

I am inspired by the people around me. Life is beautiful and filled with amazing souls. I try to look people in the eye and let their joy lift me up. I also hope that my joy can be a guiding light.

Did you meditate? Did you exercise? Always, always!

One strategy I use to make my time more effective is my daily schedule.

I am passionate about happiness, football, giving back to my community.

Something I wanted to get done but didn’t get to do was studying Buddhism.

A dream I am currently focused on fulfilling is Rio 2016 Olympics.

I can’t live without my daily planner.

Today I felt... happy, sad, frustrated, excited - all of those.

I went to sleep at 11PM.

Tomorrow I am looking forward to happiness, laughter, football, yoga, and most importantly getting better!
